Walyalup Wandering
Lili’s artwork titled ‘Walyalup Wandering’ aims to engage viewers with a playful interpretation of the Walyalup area through printmaking and collage. Interested in travel and observation, she investigates the everyday life by creating intimate, site specific artworks that are open to interpretation. Lili’s work is intended to be versatile in its display and explores the idea of life passing by and our connection with the world around us.
The artwork is created from 4 colour silk screen separation, a process by which the artist separates an image into yellow, cyan, magenta, and black and overlays each colour to create a near photographic image. The artist then meticulously cuts out the people in the images and installs them onto pins to create a small-scale installation that engages with the natural light to create shadows and movement.
